If you currently have at least one working remote fob already, then you can use these self-programming instructions to program additional remote fobs.
If you have lost all of your remote fobs, or the fobs you have do not work, then these instructions will not work for you.
These are what a vehicle's instructions most commonly are, but sometimes a vehicle may use different instructions than what is listed. We recommend double checking your owner's manual to confirm which instructions you need to follow.
Follow these instructions for the vehicles listed above.
1. Sit in the driver’s with all remotes your want to program to the vehicle, including any previously working remotes.
2. Insert your key into the ignition and turn the ignition to ON (but do not start the engine.)
3. Using one of your already working remotes, press and hold the UNLOCK button for 4-10 seconds.
4. Within the specified 4-10 seconds and while still holding the UNLOCK button, press and hold the PANIC button for about 1 second and then release both buttons at the same time. The vehicle will chime within 3 seconds to verify it has entered programming mode.
(If the vehicle does not chime, it has not entered programming mode. Repeat steps 2-4 while varying the timing to get it right.)
5. Within 30 seconds of the chime, press any button on all remotes you wish to program, including all previously working remotes. The vehicle will chime after each remote to indicate that remote was successfully programmed.
6. Turn the ignition to OFF and remote your key.
7. Test each of the remotes.
