Ford Programming Instructions FORD-RKE-331-4BT

Based on the Make, Model and Year of your vehicle, you may have different programming instructions.  We recommend double checking your owner's manual to confirm which instructions you need to follow.  

This list is what each vehicle's instructions most commonly are, but sometimes a vehicle may use different instructions than what is listed.  

There are NO self-programming instructions for the Lincoln LS.

It can be difficult to get the timing correct while programming this remote.  Read the instructions all the way through before beginning to make sure you fully understand each step and can perform it quickly enough.  If you're having trouble getting the vehicle to enter programming mode, try to vary the timing of the steps.

Programming Instructions for the above vehicles:

1. Close all of the doors and then open the driver's door and press the unlock button on driver's door panel while door is still open and insert your key into the ignition.

2. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON (Do not start the vehicle), 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in ON. The door locks will cycle to confirm that you have entered programming mode.

3. Within 20 seconds, click any button on first fob. Door locks will lock and unlock to signify programming was successful.

4. Within 20 seconds, click any button on second fob. Door locks will lock and unlock to signify programming was successful.

5. Turn ignition to OFF. The door locks will again cycle to signify that you have ended programming mode.

1996-1998 Ford Crown Victoria

Programming Instructions for the above vehicle:

1. On the keyless entry keypad, enter your 5-digit entry code .

2. Within 5 seconds of entering your code, press the 1/2 button. The doors will lock and then unlock, signaling that the car has entered programming mode.

3. Within 5 seconds of the car's lock unlock cycle, click any button on the first fob. Locks will cycle to signify that the fob has been programmed.

4. If programming additional fobs, including any fobs you already had, click any button on each additional fob within 5 seconds of the last fob. Locks will cycle again to signify each successful programming. (If the light on the keypad turns off before all fobs are programmed, then you must repeat the process.)

5. Once all fobs have been programmed, end programming mode by pressing the 7/8 and the 9/0 buttons together on the keypad.

Programming Instructions for the above vehicles:

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 4 times within 3 seconds, with the 4th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

2. Within 20 seconds, press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.

3. Within 20 seconds press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cylcle to confirm programming.

4. Turn ignition to OFF.

Programming Instructions for the above vehicles:

1. Turn the ignition from OFF to ON (Do not start the vehicle), 4 times within 6 seconds, with the 4th time ending in ON. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

2. Within 20 seconds, click any button on first fob. Door locks will lock and unlock to signify programming was successful.

3. Within 20 seconds click any button on second fob. Door locks will lock and unlock to signify programming was successful.

4. Turn the ignition to OFF.
