FREE GM Transponder Chip Key Programming Instructions GM-PTK-B99-A
If you don't have any working keys, follow these instructions:
1. Get the new key's blade cut by a dealership or an automotive locksmith.
2. Insert the new cut key in ignition and turn key to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
3. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
4. Within 45 seconds turn the key to OFF and then back to the ON position for 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
5. Turn key OFF then back ON. The key is now programmed.
6. Start vehicle to test key.
If you have at least one working key, follow these instructions:
1. Get the new key's blade cut by a dealership or an automotive locksmith.
2. Insert an existing programmed working key into the ignition cylinder.
3. Turn ignition to the ON position for 5 seconds, then back to OFF position.
4. Remove the existing key and within 5 seconds insert new key and turn it to the ON position for 5 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition to OFF then back to ON. The key is now programmed.
6. Start vehicle to test key.
