Self Programming:  

You can program this remote to your vehicle yourself following the instructions provided for some of the vehicles listed.  If your model is 2011 or newer, there are no self-programming instructions and you will have to take this remote to a professional for programming.  You can only have up to four remotes programmed at one time.  Please see the compatibility chart below to verify which models have programming instructions available.

The programming instructions require precise timing, so it may take a few tries to complete them successfully.  Make sure the understand the directions start to finish before beginning.  Try to vary the timing of the steps each attempt.

If you are having trouble using the instructions to program the remote by yourself, or your model and year don't have instructions available, it can be programmed by a professional automotive locksmith or a dealership (it does not need to be the same dealership from where the vehicle was purchased).

1. The part number on the back of your original fob matches one of the OEM part numbers listed above.

2. The FCC ID number on the back of your original fob matches the FCC ID listed for this remote fob.

3. Your original fob has the same buttons pictured.

If you don't have an original remote to compare, you can call any GM dealership with your VIN and ask for your remote part number.  If the part number matches one of the OEM part numbers above, then this is the correct remote.
